Singer CeeLo Green said on Facebook Live that he is alive and well after a footage became viral showing him talking on the phone when the device explodes and knocks him to the ground.
CeeLo Green streamed on Facebook Live Saturday night to let people know he was not hurt almost nine hours after the video was posted on the internet. The footage made fans and friends believe the actor was injured.
“Hey y’all, listen,” he told the camera. “I just want to let everybody know that I am alive and I am well and I’m OK. Truthfully, I’m really upset that anybody had to be emotionally disturbed by what they saw today. Actually what you saw today was a clip from a smaller video that we were shooting for a new project that I’m doing called Gnarly Davidson. It’s supposed to set up and introduce the new character identity. I’m still going to release the music, but first and foremost to everybody that love me and care about me, I just wanted to let you know that I’m OK…”
Green had previously mentioned Gnarly Davidson in an interview saying the project would be a solo mixtape that would sound similar to that of Gnarls Barkley. He added that the project would put his fans in the space, saying it is very Gnarls-esque sonically and instrumentally.
It was not clear if the video was real or if it was part of his work since an accident like that featured in the video can be possible due to Samsung’s recently disabled Galaxy Note. The device has spontaneously caught fire. E-cigarettes are also catching fire, and most of them have exploded, injuring their users.
Watching CeeLoGreen being hurt concerned fans and friends
The footage was first published on Instagram by the user “I am Philly Chase,” who did not reveal how he got the video nor when or where it took place, The Maily Dail reports.
The 40-second video seems to be filmed by a surveillance camera and shows the 42-year-old “Forget You” singer in a recording studio on his phone. Soon after, smoke starts pouring out of the device and then a bright flash appears. Green falls from his chair onto the floor.
Many fans were upset by the possibility of seeing Green being seriously hurt on a video while others accused the singer of releasing a publicity stunt.
The Huffington Post says the video is staged because the studio’s TV screens shown in the footage curiously start to flicker a few seconds later after the explosion adding that the CCTV video also starts to go haywire.
Still, no close sources to the artist have confirmed if the video is real not. Some of CeeLo friends seemed to believe it is real because they share their concerns on Twitter.
R&B star Omarion posted on the social media that he is praying Green hearing is OK while actor Rob Lowe accused Samsung of the several accidents related to its disable device, the Galaxy Note.
How can Elon Musk make a car that drives itself, but Samsung can't make a phone that doesn't explode in your face?
