November began and the first holiday deals started too. Amazon’s sales began Tuesday morning as part of its Black Friday Deal Store. The deals are not as good as they are going to be in a few weeks, but for those who want to start buying Christmas presents with a discount can do it on the web page. The company’s Black Friday shop will run through December 22.
Amazon stated they would be offering “tens of thousands of deals as often as every five minutes.” People can enjoy deals from apparel for men, women, kids and babies, toys, electronics, DVDs and many more categories.
The company improved its app and now customers can use their phones to do a visual search of packaged goods, barcodes, DVD’s and video games, an option that was previously only available to visual search for groceries.
Amazon Prime users will enjoy more benefits than usual: They will not only receive free two-day shipping but will also get 20 percent off of new video game releases and pre-ordered items. They will also have the option to shop during “Lightning Deals” which is an exclusive benefit for Amazon Prime users that lets them shop 30 minutes before regular customers.
Discover card users are also spoiled during the holiday season, and any purchase they make from Amazon will include a five percent cash back. To enjoy the benefit, Discover card users must activate their cash back rewards through their Discover account.
People that uses amazon’s Alexa digital assistant will have access to other exclusive deals. Alexa digital assistant can be found on the Eco line of smart speakers and new Fire T.V. streaming sticks and Kindle Fire tablets.
Amazon is also offering gift guides in several departments, including Home and Garden and Electronics to help people chose what to give during the season.
A special gift for iPhone users: The Package X-Ray
A surprise for iPhone users is coming November 15: The Package X-Ray. Those who have iPhones will be able to use a feature on their phone to peek inside the box without opening it and ruining the surprise. People just have to scan the barcode from the app to look inside the Package X-Ray.
November is the time to start shopping, and statistics prove it. The National Retail Federation found that roughly 41 percent of people begin their holiday shopping in October or earlier. The survey posted last month by the agency points out that an additional 41 percent was waiting for November to start shopping.
The National Retail Federation estimated that the average American would spend $935.58 during November and December. Around 56 percent of the shopping will be done online.
