Finally, the world knows for sure when and where the next Apple event will take place. After a lot of unofficial announcements, Apple has confirmed that the Sept. 12 event will be held at the Apple Park campus, in the Steve Jobs theatre – which has a capacity of 1000 people.
However, the most exciting part is that the company might be announcing new updated products and the latest versions of the macOS and iOS systems. It’s probable that the company might announce more than just one iPhone.
Ten years have gone by after Steve Jobs announced the first of all iPhones, which is why this might be one of the most important events since the Apple Watch was announced in 2014. People are waiting for exciting announcements after some rumors about three new iPhones: the iPhone 7s, the iPhone 7s Plus, and the iPhone 8 or iPhone X. It’s believed that this last iPhone will be pretty similar to the best Android smartphones.
However, according to rumors, Apple is preparing more than just announcing these three new iPhones. Supposedly, it will also announce a new AppleWatch, which will not need to be connected to an iPhone. They may also announce a new HomePod system and the 4K Apple TV.
Despite the fact that Apple’s iPhones are one of the most demanded smartphones in the west, their sales have dropped these last years.
What’s new about iPhone 8?
Rumor has it that the iPhone 8 will have a screen that covers the phone up to the edges. This OLED display will have a new camera system at the front of the device, which might also work to recognize the face of the owner. This way, the phone would be unblocked not just using the home button, but also by using the 3-D sensor that allows personal-face recognition. However, other reviewers say that there will be another way to unblock it thanks to a line at the bottom of the screen that users can take to the middle of the display to use the device.
There’s still not any price stipulated from the iPhone. However, experts estimate that it will cost much more than any other iPhone ever launched before. Similar to the last model, reviewers assume that the colors of the updated device will be the same: matte black, jet black, silver, gold, and rose gold.
Reviewers say that the iPhone 8, or iPhone X, will cost around $1,000 ($999), more expensive than the 256GB version of the iPhone 7 Plus, which sells for $969.
However, there’s still not much information on new features featured in the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus.
