The US President and his wife Michelle shared on the White House’s website a list of their favorite themes for the holidays.
The 14 songs list compiled by the highest authority of the White House, features songs by artists like Mariah Carey, Destiny’s Child, The Jackson 5 and Stevie Wonder, among others.
Their top choice is O Tannenbaum, a German song based on traditional folk music which translates as O Christmas Tree.
This is not the first time that President Obama publishes a songs list, as this year he also shared his favorite songs for the summer, to hear both day and night. Similarly, the first lady, Michelle Obama, also produced a list to mark the International Day of the Girl Child.
Vice President Joe Biden and his wife Jill also shared their favorite Christmas tracks; with Bruce Springsteen’s Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town coming top.
The couples released a total of 31 songs on the popular music-streaming service, 14 for the Obamas and 17 for the Bidens.
Obama´s playlist also included Let it snow from Boyz II Men; The Christmas song from Nat King Cole; Ledisi´s Silent night; Do you hear what I hear of Yolanda Adams; Kenny Burrell´s Away in a manger and Santa baby from Eartha Kitt.
