Boston, Massachusetts – On Friday, the Green Line trolley service fell off its tracks at around 9 am, when it was approaching Park Street. Luckily, none of the passengers were injured.
As the Green Line train derailed, over 200 passengers were forced to get onto the Orange Line through the underground pass located between Park Street and Downtown Crossing.
Officials do not know the exact cause of the events, yet.
Witnesses and reactions
Many passengers and witnesses managed to see the derailing and its effects.
At around 12 p.m. the train had resumed its assigned course, but soon-to-be passengers would have to expect severe delays, as it was warned by the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority on its official Twitter account.
