Carrie Fisher’s mother said via Twitter that her daughter is in “stable condition” after suffering a massive heart attack on Friday on board of an airplane.
Debbie Reynolds stated that Fisher was stable and that if there are any changes she will share it with the public. She thanked fans and friends for their prayers and good wishes. The tweet shared an image of her daughter Carrie Fisher wearing star earrings.
Other family members also used Twitter to expressed their love and support to the Star Wars actress.
Carrie’s half-sister Tricia Leigh Fisher -daughter of Connie Stevens and Debbie Reynolds’s ex-husband Eddie Fisher- thanked everyone for the prayers for her sister.
Along with the text, she posted a throwback picture of herself, Carrie Fisher and her other half-sister Joely Fisher.
Joely shared a heart emoji and the text “MamaDebs” along with a link that led to her mother’s message on Carrie Fisher’s current health state.
Carrie Fisher suffered a massive heart attack when she was on an 11-hour flight from London to Los Angeles on Friday afternoon. The plane landed, and Fisher was taken to UCLA Medical Center where sources reported she had to be put on a ventilator.
Carrie’s brother Todd informed the media about her sister’s condition, saying she was in the intensive care unit. He told Entertainment Tonight that they do not want to bother doctors who are working on her sister case so they are waiting patiently. He also asked people to pray for Carrie.
Carrie Fisher’s service dog said he is waiting for her via Twitter
The loyal service dog of the actress who played Princess Leia is waiting for her. Gary is Carrie Fisher’s service dog that helps her with her bipolar disorder.
Gary expressed his thoughts and prayers via Twitter as well, saying that he’ll be waiting right here for his mom. The post shows a picture of a similar French bulldog looking out the window.
Carrie Fisher has been opened about her mental health condition and has stated Gary is vital for her and her struggle with her mental disease. The service pet provides emotional support and stability in her life, according to the actress.
“Gary is mental also. My mother says Gary is a hooligan. Gary is like my heart. Gary is very devoted to me and that calms me down. He’s anxious when he’s away from me,” Fisher told The Herald-Tribune in 2015.
The famous actress adopted Gary about four years ago. Fisher and Gary are so close that she even brought him with her for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” press tours. Gary was also Fisher’s company on her press tour for her recent book, “The Princess Diarist.”
The loyal dog was on board of the plane when Fisher went into cardiac arrest. Gary is reportedly by his owner’s side at the hospital.
