Pop singer Demi Lovato and boyfriend actor Wilder Valderrama said goodbye to their Doberman, Spawn, with tributes posted on Instagram. Spawn died on Saturday and both Lovato and Valderrama posted pictures captioned with farewell messages on Sunday night. Lovato announced on Instagram Spawn had died sharing a picture of her and her beloved dog.
“I miss you so much already beautiful boy. When I first met you 6 years ago, I was intimidated by your size and your strong presence. But as I got to know you, I learned you were just one big teddy bear. One handsome teddy bear that’s for sure,” wrote Lovato announcing on Instagram Spawn had died.
Lovato also shared anecdotes of her time with Spawn such as the way he greeted her every time she arrived home and the way he had been so protective of Buddy and Batman, Lovato’s other dogs.
Valderrama also mourned the loss with an Instagram tribute. He shared pictures of him petting Spawn and playing with his nose. The actor wrote about the moments they had gone through together.
“No matter what I’d be going through he just knew and would rest his little head on my lap as if saying ‘dad it’s never that bad’. I would immediately smile and say ‘ok ok you’re right.’ He had this presence, I mean he was just so freaking handsome. Bitches loved him and lads wanted to be him HAHA,” Valderrama wrote on Instagram.
He continued saying Spawn had loved people and all people had loved him and that he had loved being around all them, including Valderrama’s mom who he claimed Spawn had kept her company all day.
This is the second time the couple had to say goodbye to one of their pets. 5 months ago they lost Buddy who died in a tragic accident. The singer announced the death on Twitter in July, but she did not give specifics as to the cause of death.
