Nobody expected an alliance between Techland and Psyonix because video game companies rarely join forces to work on projects, but sometimes sharing and mixing content is the best way to climb the way up. This alliance resulted in players who own Dying Light: The Following will now be able to download a special skin for Rocket League’s dune buggy.
Alliances between video game companies that nobody expected to do so is something that rarely happens, but nobody thought this two would bring this new DLC, considering that both games belong to a completely different genre. Dying Light is a survival horror game and Rocket League is a mixture between cars and soccer kind of game. Rocket League from Psyonix and Dying Light from Techland are pleased to bring you a new skin for the dune buggy in Rocket League created by the zombie-infested parkour game well known as Dying Light.
For those that do not know what The Following expansion for Dying Light offers, they should only know about the new addition: the dune buggies, vehicles to travel across the expansive world of Dying Light. Apart from destroying, crashing and smashing zombie’s limbs and entrails, it is also a cool new feature for the game. With the DLC, you’ll be able to transport the same feeling of driving a dune buggy into the unique car/soccer hybrid game, Rocket League.
It’s nice that Dying Light: The Following owners can download a Rocket League skin for their dune buggies, but what about Rocket League players? Well, as it turns out, this collaboration goes both ways as some Dying Light-themed content will be added to Rocket League later this year.
DLC’s known content
The DLC will offer players the cosmetic garage option to change the style of their cars making them look like the ones found in the Dying Light game. Sadly no images of the DLC or its content has been shown yet but, hopefully, they will give us a little sneak peek of what is coming.
Will Rocket League will stay on the road to popularity this year as it did on 2015?
For fans of Rocket League. it’s probably good to see Psyonix work to keep the game relevant well into 2016. Rocket League was a surprise success when it released last summer, and if Psyonix and other video games companies keep supporting the game by uploading new DLC’s and other awesome content. It is possible that Rocket League will keep its community and popularity during this whole year.
Will you be downloading the Rocket League DLC for Dying Light: The Following? What about the Dying Light DLC for Rocket League? What other games would you like to see Dying Light and Rocket League crossover with? Something is certain, video game companies will never stop surprising us.
