Eddie Murphy and his longtime girlfriend, Paige Butcher, welcomed on Tuesday their first child as a couple, a baby girl named Izzy Oona Murphy. Both mother and daughter are healthy, according to a statement from Murphy’s representative.
Izzy was delivered in Los Angeles and weighed 7 lbs., 15 oz, the statement said. This is the ninth children for the 55-year-old actor, which makes little Izzy the younger followed by her 9-year-old sister Angel, from other relation, as reported by People Magazine.
It was confirmed in November by the couple that the 36-year-old Australian model was carrying her first baby with the actor. She previously said she loves taking care of people and has special experience working with kid-related causes, according to the Inquisitr.
Butcher has worked with several charities and often volunteers at homeless shelters, the model said. The recent one she is on every week is called Baby to Baby a nonprofit for women that have children and are living below the poverty line. The charity sends care packages with toys and things for the kids like diapers and strollers, she added.
The couple has been together for over 4 years and they have kept a very private relationship by avoiding the spotlight. Butcher even stayed away from social media.
“I am in a relationship with a celebrity, so I felt like there is already enough of me out there,” the Australian model told Vanity Fair in 2013. “I felt like I was giving out too much information. I was giving people too much access. I like to keep as much private as possible now.”

Besides the just-arrived Izzy and the 9-year-old Angel, Murphy’s other seven children are Eric, 26, Christian, 25, Bria, 25, Myles, 22, Shayne, 21, Zola, 15, and Bella, 13. Murphy’s oldest two kids are with former girlfriends Tamara Hood Johnson and Paulette McNeely and the other five with his ex-wife Nicole Mitchell Murphy.
According to Nicole Murphy, her and her ex-husband kept a friendship.
“He is my babies’ daddy, so we speak to each other and have a great relationship and I think that is important when you have children involved,” she said once to Radar Online.
