Ellen DeGeneres unveils new ‘Finding Dory’ trailer

The Ellen DeGeneres show debuted Wednesday a new trailer of Finding Dory, the long-awaited sequel of 2003 Finding Nemo. After 13 years, Ellen returns to voice the forgetful blue fish and Albert Brooks comes back as Marlin while Hayden Rolence replaces Alexander Gould as Nemo.

Finding Dory begins about six months after Nemo reunites with his dad and comes home with him and the graceful blue fish, who is now living with them. Dory goes with Nemo on a class trip to see manta rays migrate back home, when she begins to get flashbacks from her past for the first time and she knows in her heart (and weak memory) that somewhere beyond the sea she has a family, and she longs to find them.

“I miss them. Do you know what that feels like?” Dory asks Marlin, who shifts his gaze to Nemo right away.

The group of friends finds themselves embarking on another exciting adventure together to help Dory find her family.

The sequel also features the vocals of Ty Burrell as a beluga whale called Bailey; Diane Keaton as Jenny, Dory’s mother; Eugene Levy as Dory’s father, Charlie; Kaitlin Olson as Dory’s sister, Destiny, a whale shark; Vicky Lewis as the four stripped damselfish Deb and also her reflection named Flo; Willem Dafoe as Gill; and Ed O’Neil as an octopus called Hank. Dominic West and Idris Elba also star.

Expectations are high 13 years after the first global hit

Finding Nemo marked Pixar’s first movie to win an Oscar for Best Animated Film and earned $936.7 million. The emotional story became an instant hit with its hilarious one-liners and songs. Who doesn’t still sing “Just Keep Swimming”? Unlike the first movie, in Finding Dory, the heartwarming characters will not spend most of its time in the ocean but at the Marine Biology Institute of California.

Finding Dory will swim into theaters on June 2016.
