Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) finally released its promised Facebook Messenger app for the Apple Watch OS 2. Users will need to install the updated platform to start using the new app included in the wrist-device.

Since the watch display is very small for people to write anything, the new update will let users send and receive voice clips, likes and emojis. “You can now use Messenger on Watch OS 2, send and receive voice clips, likes, stickers and more. With iOS 9, you can now find Messenger contacts and conversations from your phone’s search screen, and access Messenger from the list of multi-tasking apps on your iPad,” said Facebook Messenger description in Itunes Stores.

Benefits

It is easier for Apple Watch users to receive a message via the tiny device than grabbing their smartphones from their bag or any other place. For instance, when they are driving it is safer to look at your wrist. People can now make a fast and out of danger response by using the new application integrated into the smartwatch.

Users will be able to select from a listing of predetermined answers, stickers, likes, as well as sending their location and recording voice messages by using the microphone included in the watch. Despite the app is not going to support animated GIFs, owners will be able to check out incoming voice messages and photos.

In order to run the new application, you just have to go to App Store and start downloading it. In addition, a few months ago Apple hinted at the coming of a possible watch version of the main Facebook app. But users are still waiting for the details on the upcoming version of the app.
