FYI and the show’s production company announced Wednesday that ‘Kocktails With Khloe’ will be cancelled on April 20 after a 14-episode run. TMZ reported that the decision to cancel the talk show hosted by Khloe Kardashian was mutual.
There are three episodes left to air. Fans will see some familiar faces in the last one, including Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. John Legend and his pregnant wife Chrissy Teigen will also join them.
FYI’s statement reads that the network and Pilgrim Media Group appreciate the work done by everyone involved in the show and that they’re also thankful that the series attracted important numbers of viewers and users to FYI’s linear and digital platforms.
“We are grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Khloé and thank her for her hard work and unique voice that she brought to the series”, the statement said.
Kocktails With Khloe features friends, family and other famous personalities who gather on a home-like studio set. The talk show mixes party games and cooking. Although FYI said in its announcement statement that the show significantly increased the network’s audience, its highest-rated episode happened to be the premiere, with 347,000 same-day viewers, according to Nielsen.
Compared to Kocktails, each episode of the reality show on the E! Network starring Khloe’s family, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, obtains nearly 2 million viewers.
Kocktails’ cancellation followed a tough time for Kardashian
The news of the show’s cancellation came after a hard time for Khloe. Her estranged husband, former NBA star Lamar Odom, was recently discharged from hospital after his nearly fatal collapse following a drug overdose at a Nevada brothel. The reality-TV personality was planning to divorce him but the tough situation forced her to take care of Odom, who’s still recovering.
Aside from shows related to her family and other awards-related E! show, Khloe co-hosted “The X Factor” and has also appeared on “Kris” and “Chelsea Lately”.
