Paris – Ghost Recon: Wildlands, an open world tactical shooter video game from Ubisoft, got its official release month: March 2017. The video game is scheduled to be released for the most used consoles. Among them, the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC on the seventh day of March, next year. Nouredine Abboud is producing and is directed by Eric Couzian.
It has become really awaited by the gamer community because of its 21-region map, becoming the company’s largest open world game. Each region has its own features like towns, waterways, and people. Additionally, there are 11 unique biomes, containing their own climates and animals. Ubisoft broke the news exclusively to Polygon. They also indicated that the experience they want the player to have is that of actually living in the world. The characters can go to bed at night and go to work.
Gamers are very eager to play
The game is set in Bolivia in the future, a few years from the present time, according to insiders. It follows the players going against the enemy force to defeat a drug cartel over called Santa Blanca. Gamers would take on the role of playing as a member of the Ghosts, an elite team of the U.S. Army who needs to complete missions to take down the cartel.
Benoit Martinez, Wildlands’ lead artist and technical art director, is the one in charge of the game making justice of the ecological diversity and the incredible landscapes that do exist in Bolivia. He had to become intimately familiar with the place, so he traveled with of a team of more than 30 designers in 2012. They spent more than two weeks in the country, traveling thousands of miles to capture reference material for the game.
They divided into four groups to go in every direction, from north to south, east to west, getting thousands and thousands of pictures. They eventually came back with hours and hours of video, interviews, and footage from just filming in the wild.
It can be played as a solo or with up to three other players in four-player co-op mode. Another key aspect in Wildlands is the total freedom of choice the players will be granted to accomplish their task they way want and watch as the world reacts to their actions.
Ubisoft revealed that there will be a beta for the upcoming open-world shooter game. To be selected, aspirants have to go to the company’s website and apply for the VIP trial.
