The Frozen sequel, the latest hit by Disney and the major revenue-making animated film of all time -even surpassing Toy Story 3-, is already being produced and some fans have a very special request: make Elsa a lesbian.
The film was famous for its premiere because of the progressive ideals and modernity it showed, in comparison to traditional princess and fairy tale films. This kind of content was well received by the audience, but there are, still, a lot of rules to break according to fans.

The question asked all over the social networks was, why animated stories don’t have LGBT characters? The expectation is to take advantage of that first step made by Disney, to move forward with the progressiveness in the films and make Elsa a proud member of the LGBT community. That would create a role model (or a hero) to LGBT children.
Disney released 12 movies in 2015 and none of them had LGBT characters. “The weakest record when it comes to inclusive films” according to the annual Studio Responsibility Index, made by GLAAD (Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation). The organization measures LGBT representation in media, including films and television.
The GLAAD organization was found in New York on 1985 and its influence has growth ever since. It is a very visible community in Los Angeles and in the entire entertainment industry, managing to represent the LGBT population on the screen.
The Impact
The “Let it Go” theme song was adopted as a LGBT anthem already. The movie has earned enough to make it the top-grossing animated film of all time.
Frozen was the number 10 in the list of biggest blockbusters of all time, according to the Hollywood Reporter, and is the biggest Disney/Pixar animated film of all time in 27 countries.
