Netflix Inc. (NASDAQ: NFLX) has released the first trailer and premiere date for the upcoming long-awaited season four of “House of Cards”.
The trailer shows Frank Underwood’s Political Ad Enter Frank Underwood announcing his intention to run for president in 2016 last night. Underwood’s on-screen presidential campaign will start on March 4, 2016.
The Netflix series ran its first trailer for the new season while Republican Party candidates were standing at a podium in Las Vegas during Tuesday’s CNN big GOP debate.
The most recent season ended in the middle of Frank’s offer for reelection so it’s not a big surprise that next season will show how the power couple, Frank and Claire Underwood (if she still by his side) try to make their way back to the White House.
The announcement featured sweeping shots of America, citizens hard at work, military fighter jets and families, kids running and waving the American flag with a voiceover that says, in the most encouraging and political tone possible.
“It’s a new day in America. Today, more people will go to work, return home to their families and sleep more soundly that ever before. All because one man refuses to settle, putting people before politics. That man in Frank Underwood.”
The ad then cut to “President Francis J. Underwood” in his television Oval Office saying says, “America, I’m only getting started.”
The fourth season of the show will debut right in the middle of the busy, real-world primary season. This is just three days after “Super Tuesday,” when 12 states will hold their primaries.
Fans of the series would be able to enjoy underwood’s on-screen race thought the American presidential campaign along with the real and yet very entreating presidential nomination campaign that will be held next year.
