Everything is set for the 2016 edition of the Teen Choice Awards, that will be aired on Sunday, July 31 on Fox and other affiliate chains. This year’s special honoree will be Justin Timberlake, who will receive the Teen Choice Decade award.
This is the major award given in the event since it’s only given to artists who have a relevant trajectory in the industry. Sunday also marks the 10th anniversary of the FutureSex/LoveSounds multiplatinum albums that featured the singles SexyBack and MyLove. Timberlake has an intimate relationship with the Teen Choice Awards. He has received more than 20 awards in this event and has participated in the show almost every year.
Timberlake and his awards
Nine Grammy Awards, 10 Billboard Music Awards, four Emmys, and three Brit Awards are on his hands. His work in the musical, film and television industry has made him a true award-winning star. Can’t Stop the Feeling, his latest hit and soundtrack of the animated film Trolls is nominated for different categories in the Teen Choice Awards.
Justin started as a singer in the Mickey Mouse Club, but what put him in the stars’ industry was NSync, one of the most popular boy bands in America and all over the world. In 2002 he started producing and singing on his own, with Justified, his first album, a production that received positive reviews everywhere.
Ever since, Timberlake grew up as an artist, achieving positions in the Billboard Hot 100 and the Billboard 200. He started participating in the film industry whether doing voices in animated films like Shrek the Third and Yogi the Bear or acting, like in The Social Network, Bad Teacher, In Time and Friends with Benefits. He participated as well in talk shows such as Saturday Night Live.
