Kaley Cuoco returned to The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Tuesday after celebrating the 200th episode of the beloved tv series The Big Bang Theory. In the show, she opened up about her divorce with the tennis player, Ryan Sweeting.
Cuoco had been at the DeGeneres’ show before on November of 2013 when she shared her story about her engagement with Sweeting, in which they celebrated a little tying the “not” ceremony. Two years later, the actress came back to the show and explained she is now getting divorced.
However, Cuoco did not seem sad about her situation. She explained that 2015 had been “very bizarre” and that she had been through many weird situations.
Their marriage was not too long. Cuoco seemed to be ashamed of the period she was married to Sweeting since they only lasted 1 year and a half together. They got engaged after three months of dating and quickly got married despite not deeply knowing each other.
They announced their split on September of 2015 and none of them has given any explanations of why they are separating. Cuoco cited irreconcilable differences in the divorce papers.
The actress also shared her experience about a tattoo she got on her back when she got married. She covered big numbers of the date of her wedding with a big moth. She called her old tattoo a mistake and she used the moth’s wings to cover it.
“The significance is it was big enough to cover the numbers. The wings, big wings. Silence, quiet, on a wall. They’re stationary. It’s just what I picked out when I was there,” she answered after DeGeneres asked her about the meaning of the tattoo.
DeGeneres said she had pictured a moth because the insects are drawn to light and Cuoco exclaimed: “that too!”.
