Lil Wayne allegedly suffered a minor seizure during a flight from Wisconsin to California. Even if Wayne’s representative has not confirmed the report of multiple seizures, it was confirmed that after a minor epileptic episode, the rapper was transported to a hospital due to concerns about his health.
It seems that the first seizure occurred when ‘Weezy’ was flying from Wisconsin to California, at about 1.30 p.m.
Monday afternoon, Wayne’s private jet made an emergency landing when the pilot was informed that the 33-year old rapper had blacked out, and the incident worried those who accompanied the artist. The emergency landing was performed in Omaha, Nebraska. Paramedics arrived immediately, but Wayne refused any treatment from them and went back onto his jet.
Two minutes after the plane had taken off again, Wayne suffered another seizure, and the plane was forced to land in Omaha once again. Paramedics assisted him on the aircraft until the ambulance got to the place to take him to a hospital.
A Lil Wayne’s representative has said the rapper is in stable condition.
“As Wayne’s reps, we can confirm that he did experience a minor seizure earlier this afternoon. Under the guidance of his doctors, he is now in stable condition and good spirits,” said Wayne’s representative in a statement. “He thanks his fans for their everlasting support, prayers, and well wishes.”
Wayne’s representatives have stated that they are waiting for a full recovery of the artist before speaking out about the incident.
It is not the first time the rapper made an emergency landing because of his health condition. In fact, in 2013, after a near-fatal seizure in 2013, Wayne opened up about his health status and what he had gone through for a long time.
“The thing is, man, the bad news is, I’m an epileptic, so I’m prone to seizures,” Wayne continued. “This isn’t my first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh seizure. I’ve had a bunch of seizures; you all just never hear about it. This time, it got real bad because I got three of them in a row, and on the third one, my heart rate went down to, like, 30 percent. I could’ve died soon. That’s why it was so severe.”
‘I don’t feel anything.’
When the rapper opened up about his ongoing battle with epilepsy, he said he did not believe anything and that there were no warnings before suffering a seizure.
Wayne has experienced several scary seizures, and he cannot remember any of those. He said that sometimes he went to bed and the next day, he woke up in a hospital.
By that time, Wayne noted that the seizures were brought on by too much stress work’s schedules were producing on him. However, there is no an official medical statement to prove such cause.
