Michelle Obama will remain an inspiration for men and women alike

As an advocate of dignity, fashion, and hard work, Michelle Obama has not stopped being a role model for Americans, as she represents a devout wife, mother, and exemplary first lady.

Many assure that she is preparing her political career, as her speeches can certainly inspire crowds in the same way her husband has been able to do it in the last 8 years. While Clinton was on campaign, Michelle Obama’s interventions spurred up rumors about her intentions of becoming a future presidential candidate, although this has been refuted by her and her husband, who once stated “There are three things that are certain in life: Death, taxes and Michelle is not running for president,” according to The Desert Sun.

A First Lady for education and dignity

What is expected of the Obamas is that they will take back their normal lives, while Michelle Obama has an open field for developing her political career, seeing that she is a stern woman, capable of serving as a strong candidate for whatever cause she believes is right.

Analysts believe that she would be seeking to be elected for senator, trying to replace California Sen. Dianne Feinstein, whose term ends in 2018. On the other hand, Michelle herself and her acquaintances appear certain that she has no intentions of running for a seat in office.

On her final address at the White House, Michelle Obama delivered many insightful pieces of her mind, reminding Americans that this is their country, that it belongs to them and not to whoever was elected to be in charge. She also reminded listeners that being an immigrant or the child of an immigrant is not wrong, but rather it represents being part of the American tradition of accepting people from different cultures, bringing new ideas and allowing them to accomplish their dreams and hopes of living a happy life.

I want our young people to know that they matter, that they belong, so don’t be afraid. You hear me? Young people, don’t be afraid. Be focused, be determined, be hopeful, be empowered … Lead by example with hope, never fear, and know that I will be with you, rooting for you and working to support you for the rest of my life,” she stated at her final speech.

So far, neither Barack or Michelle Obama have been very specific about what they plan to do after leaving the presidential residence. Michelle has assured that she would continue pursuing access to higher education for underserved young women. She stated that, although she was a devoted student, getting up at 4 or 5 in the morning to study, many women with the same power of will do not have the same resources that she enjoyed, which is something that she intends to change.

I see myself and my daughters in these girls. Once you get to know them, you can’t just walk away. I plan on working on this issue for the rest of my life,” she stated in an interview with Teen Vogue.
