Actress Mila Kunis shared in June that she is now expecting her second child with her husband, Ashton Kutcher. In a recent interview with Glamour magazine, the soon-to-be mother-of-two revealed some details about what parenting has taught her and how it changed her career. She also
The new film ‘Bad Moms’, started by the 32-year-old actress Mila Kunis, will see its official release on July 29. But the comedy movie -written and directed by the same team behind ‘The Hangover’- has already been praised by the critics. The films explore in a funny, filthy way, the role of women as mothers in today’s culture, their ambitions, and their necessity to be perfect.
It is the first film the actress agreed to do since giving birth to her first daughter Wyatt Isabelle in October 2014. She declined many offers because she did not want to risk her family over her career, which she recognizes can be very tough for a marriage because it requires a lot of traveling and time away from home. But now that she is back on the road, she confesses that in reality, she can’t “not work.” She migrated from Ukraine with her parents when she was still very young, and their conditions were not the best ones. Through a lot of work and effort, her parents managed to maintain their family and taught her and her brother the value of work.
Due to her immigrant origins, she reacted upon the anti-Semitic campaign presidential candidate Donald Trump has approached: “It saddens me how much fear we’ve instilled in ourselves.” She added about the idea of building a wall between the U.S. and Mexico that “There’s no point. It’s a great sound bite. And it got him far. Nobody should be mad at him; we did it to ourselves.”
Kunis has known her husband for so long; they can’t lie to each other
Mila Kunis pursued her actress career since she was a child. She got her first major role in the comedy ‘That ‘70s Show’, where she played Jackie, while Ashton Kutcher played Michael Kelso, her boyfriend. Almost 20 years later, the couple has married and became parents. But before getting married they were excellent friends, so they have seen a lot of different stages from each other, “the ugly, the bad, the good.” But they ended up together. “It truly is being married to your best friend. That’s a cliché; it’s cheesy. But it’s true,”, she stated in the interview.
She also shared that as they know each other so well, she “literally can’t lie to him.” As for any try of lying, she added: “We know when they’re acting, thus we know when they’re lying. Sometimes he’ll look at me, be like, ‘Really?’ And I’m like, ‘F–k’.”
About being a mother, Kunis revealed that she was not expecting how reckless kids can be. “Children are f–king crazy” and “suicidal,” she stated and recalled episodes with her daughter Wyatt: “Like, at the park, certain jungle gyms have an opening for older kids to jump out of. [Wyatt’s] 19 months; she can’t jump. She just walks off it as if she’s on a pirate ship.”
Kunis also revealed that she is not responsible for the loving personality of her little daughter. “I have a really sweet daughter. She wants to hug all the other kids. I didn’t teach her to be sweet. It has nothing to do with me. I’ve realized you can control only so much.”
Kutcher, 38, experienced being a dad when he married actress Demi Moore and became stepfather of Rumor, Talulah and Scout Willis. Kunis remarked on the difficulties of dealing with teenage girls. “If you can handle those hormones, you can handle anything.”
She confessed that, as a teenager, she was not the most loving person: “When I was about 21 and my hormones leveled out, I apologized to my mom. We were at an Italian restaurant, we had a couple of glasses of wine, and I said, ‘I’m so sorry I was such a bitch all these years,’ and she was like, ‘That’s OK!’”
Kunis and Kutcher started dating in 2012. After having their first child in 2014, the got secretly married in July 2015, but they made it officially confirmed it almost a year later. “We never denied it; we just never talked about it,” Kunis said in the interview. “It was something that didn’t have anything to do with anybody else.”
