Just five months after the release of the OnePlus 3, the smartphone company, OnePlus, has launched a new device: The OnePlus 3T.
Among the best working mid-price phones in the market, it was included the latest smartphone from the Chinese company, the OnePlus 3, until last week. The company rapidly launched a new version of the phone, and perhaps, condemned the predecessor to be forgotten by buyers.
Even when this new device is an obvious general upgrading of the latest model, that doesn’t mean that there are modifications in every aspect. However, the most significant changes seem to be worth it, considering that the price difference between both phones is only of $50.
Phone comparison: What changed?
Back in early July, the $399 OnePlus 3 was one of the most high-rated phones in the tech world because of its cost effectiveness and excellent performance. It outpaced great phones like Samsung Galaxy S7, HTC 10 or LG G5, regarding processing capacity. OnePlus, just like Google Pixel and LeEco LePro 3, uses Snapdragon processors. Also, this new model has an enormous 6 GB of RAM.
The OnePlus 3T optimizes this aspect, and now assures the user lag-free navigation and great keyboard usage, alongside the ability to support big memory demanding games. In fact, the company offers two versions, one with 64 GB ($439) of internal storage and the most expensive one with 128 GB ($479).
“Apps launch like lightning, scrolling is super smooth, and overall performance on the OnePlus 3T is among the best you can find on an Android phone right now,” said a Tom´s Guide, website reporter.
The new device also improved the battery. The OnePlus 3 offered a 3,000 mAh battery while its successor has a bigger one of 3,400 mAh. This translates into about 2 and a half more battery life, 13% more than the other phone. Also, the company presented Dash Charge, a fast battery-charging technology that assures to be able of charging the device completely in just half an hour, independently if the user is gaming, live-streaming or just using the phone for any demanding activity.
The camera also got upgraded. The frontal one now has 16MP that will take brighter and sharper pictures and also function better in dark places. The rear camera now has a “cutting-edge noise reduction and improved stabilization technologies,” according to the official description.
