Microsoft’s Turn 10 studios is set to release Forza 6 Apex Beta on May 5, featuring stunning 4K graphics and improved cars, tracks and gameplay content.
Forza 6 Apex is to be released on Windows 10 PCs. Minimal system specs for the next installment of Forza include at least 30GB of free storage and 12GB of RAM, but to get the best out of the racing experience Turn 10 studios recommend a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980ti and 16GB of RAM.
Forza Motorsport ultra-realist racing
Apex is to include over 60 cars and 20 different tracks, which are comprised of six separate locations in which the weather and time conditions change, providing a different racing scenario with each setting.
Forza Motorsport 6 Apex was announced back in September, and just recently Microsoft let gamers know that the free-to-play Beta version will be released within the next couple of weeks. But it is important to know that Apex players cannot race against Forza 6 owners, as neither the full version nor the beta will have a multiplayer game mode.
Forza Motorsport 6: Apex is not a regular installment of the Forza Motorsport series, as it is expected to be a “curated single-player tour of Forza Motorsport’s best content.” The game will not feature track customization nor advanced features of sorts, although you will be able to see your Xbox Live friend’s and Xbox One community Drivatars, along with leaderboards to compare your times and Race Points against the Forza 6 community.
The game is to receive subsequent patches and support fixes so it is able to connect to a driving wheel peripheral. It includes a Career Mode which is comprised of a Showcase Tour where the player is expected to complete 12 different races. There will also be Spotlight Series events where players will have to complete challenges and tasks that are to be updated regularly. The game features a total of 1000 gamescore points, and along the following days after the Beta release, a patch will be issued that allows players to modify the painting of their vehicles.
Forza Motorsport 6: Apex cannot be pre-downloaded since the Microsoft Store does not allow so. Although players argue that racing games are the ones that should always have a multiplayer option, Forza Motorsport 6: Apex is still F2P, in contrast to its Xbox One counterpart Forza 6, which does feature multiplayer racing.
