California’s Great America recently announced that the Mass Effect attraction, at their theme park in Santa Clara, will open on May 18. The attraction will include 3D and 4D entertainment experiences.
The Mass Effect attraction at California’s Great America in Santa Clara will feature a live performance with both ”3D presentation” and “4D effects”. California Great America didn’t specify what will contain the attraction or whether any character from the original trilogy will make an appearance.
The attraction promises that the fans of the game will be able to travel to a distant planet to fight against “larger-than-life foes,”.
EA and Great America worked together to bring Mass Effect from computer screens (comic books and novels) to a theme park. The attraction was first announced by developer BioWare in September 2015.
With the upcoming launch of Mass Effect: Andromeda, expected to next year, this new attraction comes as part of Electronic Arts’ efforts to revitalize the brand.
Massive Effect: Andromeda and Massive Effect 3 are on their way
Fans are hoping they can get the first teasers of Mass Effect: Andromeda at the EA Play event, which this year will be held at the same time as E3.
The game is set to launch around the time of March, which match with the launch of Mass Effect 3, which is intended to be a launch pad to bring more attention to Andromeda. There seems to be a lot of distrust around Mass Effect: Andromeda due to news about who is departing the project, or which staff is no longer working on the game.
According to previous reports, the game is making some big changes from the other games in the Mass Effect series. In Andromeda players won’t have to absolve conflict and works as an intergalactic peacekeeper, instead, they will be part of a struggling remnant of the human race looking to find a new planet to call home as they try to colonize an alien planet. The story of the game will follow the tragedy that took place in Mass Effect 3.
The story has plenty potential plotlines and story elements set within the Mass Effect universe. Meanwhile, until the two titles are released, fans will be able to enjoy the Mass Effect attraction this summer.
