A Colorado woman defecated right in front of a family’s house without anyone noticing her. She is dubbed the “Mad Pooper,” and cameras have recorded her running around near the family’s lawn for almost two months.
The police in Colorado Springs started investigating seven weeks ago, since the first time the family found the female with her joggers down, leaving the excrement on the family’s garden, putting her joggers up and then resuming her training as if nothing had happened.
The mother, Cathy Budde, said that her children were who first spotted the jogger mid-squat while defecating, right before they went to tell her. However, when the mom caught the jogger, she just acted like nothing was happening and returned walking.
“They are like, ‘There’s a lady taking a poop!’ So I come outside, and I’m like … ‘Are you serious?’” The mom told KKTV. “‘Are you really taking a poop right here in front of my kids!?’ She’s like, ‘Yeah, sorry!’”
However, the running-woman keeps making her business as usual and leaving them as a present for the family. According to Budde, there’s a bathroom near her house just crossing the street, and more of them less than a block away from where the woman is running, which makes the family think “this is intentional.”
Budde’s family is hoping that the Colorado Springs Police Department can help them to find the Mad Pooper, because every time the mother catches the jogger, she just gets back running and disappears.
“I thought for sure she’s mortified, it was an accident, she’ll go get a dog bag, come back, clean it up, never run here ever again,” told the mother, who assured that the jogger always comes with napkins or toilet paper. “Not the case.”
The Mad Pooper keeps appearing, but she keeps walking away
No matter how much the family has seen the Mad Pooper doing “her thing,” she just uses the napkins she carries with her and continues running. It seems very amusing that the woman has defecated for seven weeks without being caught by the police.
However, the Colorado Springs Police Department is very concerned about the Mad Popper running in the neighborhood; it has said that the jogger could face charges of indecent exposure and public defecation.
“It’s abnormal, it’s not something I’ve seen in my career,” Sgt. Johnathan Sharketti said. “For someone to repeatedly do such a thing … it’s uncharted territory for me.”
According to Budde, she has caught the jogger just two times in the seven weeks – one of them was on Saturday. But she keeps changing the time and scheduling another moment to use Budde’s house front as a bathroom. “She knew I was watching,” said the exhausted mother.
Budde has put signs on many walls of the neighborhood, practically begging her to “please stop.” But the Mad Pooper ran in front of one sign – crossing Budde’s house – around fifty times on Saturday, and still defecated.
