The fourth movie in the amazing X-Men franchise will surely exceed fans expectations judging from the looks of its newly released trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse. The premise of the long awaited X-Men film appears to begin as the first mutant Apocalypse is awakened after a thousand years of slumber, and sets to destroy the world as its considered not only a powerful mutant but a god.
As Apocalypse – played by the actor Oscar Isaac – awakens to find a world he finds sickening, he ventures to recruit a team of powerful mutants such as Magneto, and declares war on the world.
Maybe referring to the god of destruction represented in many cultures, the villain of the fourth movie of the X-Men franchise has the goal to cleanse mankind and reduce everything to ashes in order to start again fresh.
Although the movie seems like the most challenging task for mutants from the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters, the studio could show fans a more experienced face for the famous mutants.
In this fourth release, it appears that the fate of the Earth is in the hands of teenagers. While the upcoming movie’s villain shows a strong presence and appears to be a charismatic leader, the X-Men seems pretty outmatched by Apocalypse’ enormous powers.
This particular tone on which the trailer has sat upon has made fans question if this will be the final release of the X-Men movie franchise. Nevertheless, the fate of the Earth remains to be seen after the clash of super-mutant Apocalypse between the young casts of X-Men fighting to save the planet this time.
This newly released trailer gives fans more information on how Apocalypse is resurrected and shows a little background story behind the latest movie villain. The trailer offers an action-packed plot as well as the return of many beloved characters from the Marvel’s universe.
Amongst the actors returning to their famed roles there’s Michael Fassbender as Magneto, James McAvoy playing the role of Professor X, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique as well as Josh Helman as nemesis Coronel Stryker and Evan Peters returning as Quicksilver.
On the other hand, the franchise has recruited many talented new faces in order to give live to some of the X-Men most beloved mutants. Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones, will debut as Jean Grey, Olivia Munn will play the role of Mystique’s nemesis Psylocke, as well as Alexandra Shipp and Tye Sheridan will give life to a young Storm and Cyclops, accordingly.
