BlueStacks has added to its recent update a spot for Amazon’s Twitch, which offers users the ability to stream mobile games directly from the app. Users now can also watch curated streams from the BlueStacks App Player.
As a commemoration for the recent launch, the startup BlueStacks will be hosting a 16-player tournament of top Hearthstone competitors using the mobile version of the fame to stream live to Twitch, the company said in a statement.
“This was a natural combination,” said BlueStacks CEO, Rosen Sharma. “BlueStacks has mobile equivalents of the most popular games on the Twitch platform – mid-core RPG titles especially,” he added.
The mobile world has hundreds of popular titles for each of these PC game types and it used to be hard to stream a mobile game, the CEO said. The procedure involved several devices like a tablet, a webcam, and wires, which the partnership has cut out.
To begin streaming, users can pull up the BlueStacks player and click on the new “Streaming” panel that should be on the right with the latest update. The players will be asked to log into their Twitch account and authorize BlueStacks as the streaming tool they want to use, as reported by PC Mag.
A door for new mobile publishers
#twitch features are popping up like crops during a harvest. We're glad to see #android getting some love there. https://t.co/Z2wu5lH4WT

The startup has been working separately with publishers like Kabam, IGG, and others who do not have such a big presence on Twitch, but with the new alliance they will, said John Gargiulo, senior vice president of marketing and business development at BlueStacks.
The fact that millions of people can stream “Castle Clash” to Twitch without their creators doing anything has been described to Fortune as “massive” by Mark Zhang, a senior vice president at IGG.
