Coach Blake Shelton will debut his new song “Go Ahead and Break My Heart” tonight on “The Voice” along with Coach and girlfriend Gwen Stefani.
“Go Ahead and Break My Heart” is part of Shelton’s new album, “If I’m Honest,” which is due out be released on May 20. “If I’m Honest” is the most personal album of his career.
This could be because of the lyrics of the song, just like “I never ever meant to get so into you. Thought I was using you just to get me through. You know I’m broken I don’t trust anyone. Last thing I needed was to fall in love”.
Couple that sings together stays together
Shelton said that “Go Ahead and Break My Heart” is one of his favorite songs that he have ever written or recorded.
“It came from a time and place when Gwen and I were beginning our journey together and both experiencing a hard time letting our guards down with each other. The song couldn’t possibly be more honest. I’m honored to have written and to perform this song with the great Gwen Stefani. Respect,” said Shelton.

Who’s Blake Shelton?
Blake Shelton is a five-time Country Music Association Awards Male Vocalist of the Year, the reigning People’s Choice Favorite Male Country Artist, and recently hosted Nickelodeon’s “Kids Choice Awards”.
His Country Music Hall of Fame exhibit, “Blake Shelton: Based on a True Story,” will be unveiled in Nashville in May and be open until November. Shelton has earned a host of other awards and nominations, including multiple Grammy nominations as well as six gold and platinum albums.
Back in 2005, Shelton met fellow country singer Miranda Lambert at the CMT’s 100 Greatest Duets Concert. Lambert also sang background vocals on his cover of Michael Bublé’s song, “Home”, which became a number-one single on the Hot Country Songs chart.
On May 9, 2010, after dating for four years, Shelton proposed to Miranda, after seeking (and receiving) her father’s blessing. Shelton and Lambert were married on May 14, 2011, in Boerne, Texas.
Later in July 2015, Shelton and Lambert filed for divorce. The couple said that it was not the future they envisioned and it was with heavy heart that they moved forward separately. “We are real people, with real lives, with real family, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter,” the couple said.
Their divorce, according to reports, was finalized later that same day, where he started soon to start dating his colleague from The Voice, Gwen Stefani.
